I have worked in accounting for nearly 20 years and am also the owner of several small businesses. Throughout my career, I have prepared hundreds of annual reports and realized that, for most microbusinesses, preparing an annual report is not complicated. It is simply time-consuming. I realized that much of this work could be done far more efficiently.
